This establishing shot is redundant as it as ordinary setting of a school and there is nothing really unexpected. It also has intertextual references to film as it looks like a film or TV episode, which supports to Goodwin’s theory.

This shot is quite entropic as it is slightly surprising that someone would lie with her guitar on a bed. The combination of the formal dress, the guitar and the bed all seem to juxtaposition one another as they don’t go together in a setting like this. It suggests to the audience that she was meant to be going out but is now not and from the scene we saw before this one; we assume that the male in question has stood her up. However, the acoustic guitar itself is very redundant of a music video from the country genre.
Most people would think it is relatively entropic seeing someone as attractive as Taylor Swift singing about being jealous of another “beautiful girl”. This may only be something small but I think it’s worth considering. This aspect of the video is quite redundant in the sense of teenage problems and girl’s singing about being in love with someone who likes another girl.
The narrative part of the music video are all quite redundant and in normal settings but this element is then contrasted with the performance part of the video which is very entropic.
The costume and setting of this part of the music video is quite unexpected and makes an impact on the audience. It is quite glamorous and makes the artist look good which is a requirement from the record label, which is one of the features from Goodwin’s theory. This means this aspect is common for music videos so is therefore quite redundant.
